Take What You Need, – Scamp Niemz Created with sound collaborator Jess Beachy. Take What You Need is an interactive installation exploring queerness, transness, and connection through phone booths, hotlines, and everyday symbols like keypads and dial tones. Inspired by the aesthetics of helpline and hotline adverts found in Kompas and queer magazines and websites. Blending public access with personal need, the deconstructed booth invites visitors to engage with care, memory, and resistance one call and key at a time. The soundscape includes phone samples taken from friends’ unanswered voicemail greetings, layering the quiet resilience of reaching out.
Scamp, your local gender queer fantASSY. Focuses on queer, neurodivergent, disabled, and access lead collaborations with puppetry, drag, installation, performance, site-specific and outreach work.
